balls 5 minutes or until cooked
through and edges of bread are
toasted.
6. With spatula, remove bread
squares from cookie sheet and
serve. Serves 8 as appetizers.
BANANAS IN
COCONUT MILK
This fast-fix dessert is loved
by children and adults alike.
2 112 cups unsweetened co-
conut milk (see below)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 large bananas, peeled and
sliced 1 1/2-inch thick, di-
agonally
1. In large saucepan, bring co-
conut milk to a boil over high
heat. Stir in sugar and salt.
2. Reduce heat to low and add
bananas. Cover and simmer 5
minutes. Do not stir or bananas
will be mushy. Serve hot or cold.
Coconut Milk: In large bowl
combine 5 cups dried shredded
unsweetened coconut (dessicat-
ed coconut) with 5 cups boiling
water. Let stand at least 2
hours. Strain through 2 layers
cheesecloth. Discard coconut.
Liquid is coconut milk and may
L _ be stored up to 1 week in re-
- frigerator. Serves 4 to 6. El

Community Center of
Cleveland, are being sought
for a Camp Wise reunion
planned for August 28-29,
1993. The names, addresses
and telephone numbers of
former Camp Wise campers
or staff members, plus the
years they attended camp, the
age of the camper and any
other pertinent information
are needed.

Fall Luncheon

Detroit Auxiliary of Alpha
Omega will host their fall
luncheon noon Oct. 27 at
Buster Bay Restaurant. The
speaker will be judicial
candidate Marla Parker.

Elections for President, U.S. House of Representatives,
Michigan House, and various other state, county and
municipal offices will take place on Tuesday, November 3,
1992. It is your duty to vote and participate in determining the
future of our nation.
Being out of town or otherwise unable to get to the polls
is no excuse. Anyone may vote absentee if he/she is a
registered voter.
Absentee ballots can be obtained by mail or in per-
son at your city or township clerk's office. If by mail, your
written request must include your city and precinct, and
your reason for requesting the ballot (over 60 years of age;
out-of-town election day; disabled). Mailed requests must
be received by the clerk by 2 p.m. on Saturday, October
31. Once received, your completed absentee ballot must
then be returned to the clerk no later than 8 p.m. on elec-
tion day.
If you want more information about candidates and their
views, attend the free community-wide forum at 7:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, October 21 at Adat Shalom Synagogue, 29901
Middlebelt Road in Farmington Hills. Candidates for the 11th
and 12th Congressional Districts, and representatives of the
presidential campaigns will answer your questions.
