Tzally Freedman

NCSY Appoints
New Director

Rabbi Tzally Freedman has
been appointed director for
the Central East region of the
National Conference of
Synagogue Youth.
Rabbi Freedman, a native
of Detroit, graduated from
Yeshiva Beth Yehudah and
went to the Talmudical
Academy of Adelphia, N.J. He
continued his studies in
Jerusalem and at Beth
Medrash Gavohah in
Lakewood, N.J. Most recently
he was the director of develop-
ment at Shalom Torah
Centers, a network of Hebrew
day schools in New Jersey.
NCSY along with Jr. NCSY
provides high school and
junior high aged youth social
and educational activities as
well as weekend conventions.
Nationally it conducts mid-
winter and summer camps,
tours and a variety of educa-
tional programs both in the
United States and Israel.

p.m. Oct. 11 to go to Erwin
Orchards for apple picking. A
sukkah decorating party will
follow at the synagogue.
Meet at the synagogue; car-
pool drivers are needed.
