work will present the Jewish
perspective on superstition
and bitachon — a Shabbaton
weekend for singles who are
observant or are becoming ob-
servant Nov. 20-22 at the
Wyndham Hotel, Phila-
delphia.
Guest speakers will be Rab-
bi Menachem and Rebbetzin
Bracha Goldberger of Con-
gregation Tiferes Yisroel,
Baltimore, Md.
The cost is $198.00 (double
occupancy); this covers meals,
lodging, and the program.

Classes, Concert
Sukkah Program
Set By Keshet
The Music Department of
the Jewish Community
Center is accepting a limited
number of students for
private study in Suzuki
violin, viola and traditional
lessons in piano, violin, cello
and wind instruments.
Lessons will be taught at
the West Bloomfield and Oak
Park locations. Students from
3 years of age up are accepted
according to the availability
of openings. Scholarships are
available to members of the
Jewish Community Center.

The Julius Chajes Music
Fund Concert Series will
open the 1992-93 Season 3:30
p.m. Oct. 25 in the Janice
Charach Epstein
Museum/Gallery of the
Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center. The concert
will feature the Rackham
String Quartet performing
the works of Mozart,
Mendelssohn and Dvorak. For

The October meeting of
Keshet, the organization fog
Jewish Families of Children
with Special Needs, will
feature "The Great Sukkah-
Rama" 1-3 p.m. Oct. 11 at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center.
The program will include
instruction on sukkah
building, making decorations,
a neighborhood sukkah walk
and holiday refreshments. Ac-
tivities are wheelchair
accessible.
"The Great Sukkah-Rama"
is co-sponsored by Jewish Ex-
periences for Families (JEFF),
the Neighborhood Project, the
Jewish Community Center
and The Jewish. News.

Sukkot Plans
The Jewish Parents In-
stitute will present a Family
Sukkot Celebration 10
a.m.-12:15 p.m. Oct. 11 at
Camp Ruth, behind the
Maple-Drake building. Plann-
ed are the builidng of a suk-
kah, Israeli dancing, crafts ac-
tivities, a Sukkot service.

The Shaarey Zedek Beth
Hayeled Nursery School will
offer new programs.
An evening Parent - Toddler
class for children 15-30
months will be given. The
class, taught by Rena Wein-
traub, will meet for five ses-
sions 6:30-7:45 p.m. Oct.
21-Nov. 18.
Enrichment classes are
available for ages 2 1/2-5. Fly
