Special Needs Day

The Jewish Community
Center of Metropolitan
Detroit, The Jewish News,
Sinai Hospital, and the Helen
L. De Roy Foundations will
present the second annual
Community-Wide Special
Needs Awareness Day 1-4
p.m. Nov. 1 at the Maple-
Drake building. This program
will provide information and
services available to in-
dividuals with special needs.
This year's program will
feature television actress Lin-
da Bove, who plays "Linda
the librarian" on "Sesame
Street." Ms. Bove will speak
as well as present a children's
performance, "Sign Me a
Story."
Four workshops and a
resource fair are also schedul-
ed. The Resource Fair will be
open throughout the after-
noon featuring The Arc,
Agency for Jewish Education,
Community Services for the
Hearing Impaired, Detroit
Radio Information Service,
Eton Academy, JARC, Jewish

Information Service, Jewish
Vocational Service, Kadima,
Keshet, McDonalds,
Michigan Deaf, Hearing and
Speech Center, Michigan -)
Jewish Sports Hall of Fame,
