Sisterhood Holds
Fashion Show

Hadassah Plans
Yiddish Class

Temple Israel Sisterhood
will host "Hats Off To
Fashion," their annual donor
luncheon and fashion show,
10 a.m. Oct. 14 at Temple
Israel. The luncheon will be
followed by a fashion show
and a showing of furs. Bouti-
ques will be open until 4 p.m.
There is a charge.
The committee for the event

Mrs. Dworkin is a graduate
of the Workman's Circle
School and the United Yid-
dish High School and is fluent
in Yiddish. There is a charge

Jewish Federation of Metro-

Rd.
New area residents will
meet each other and mem-
bers of the Shalom Detroit
Committee at the event,
which includes dessert and

Sisterhood Plans
Book Discussions

The Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue Sisterhood will hold a
four-part book discussion
group beginning 7:15 p.m.
Oct. 22 at a member's home.
The sessions will be di-
rected by Adele Robins, a
teacher with a master's de-
gree in humanities and
leader of book clubs.
The series will feature
books of Jewish interest. In
October the group will read
Davita's Harp, by Chaim
Potok. Future titles will be
determined by the group.
Sisterhood membership is
not required. There is a fee for
the year. Discussions will also
take place Dec. 16, Feb. 1, and
March 25.
