A seminar on "Adult Education in Changing Socie- ty" was organized last sum- mer in Abu Ghosh, a Moslem town near Jerusalem. In the northern part of the country, the Forum conducted various programs in 1991 for Arab-Jewish audiences on topics of current interest. In Jerusalem, a seminar was held for some 300 educators and media people on the role of the mass media in multi- cultural societies. Another study day was held in the western Galilee in coopera- tion with the Moslem Wakf (supreme religious authority) for hundreds of Jews and Arabs on "Tolerance Is a Way of Life." A Druze-Jewish en- counter on "Tradition and Modernity" was conducted at a kibbutz guest house. Other programs of the Forum for Multi-Cultural Communication during 1991 included a conference on "Martin Buber's Philosophy in the Post-Modern Era," the establishment of "Platform for Hebrew and Arabic Writers," and two workshops on "Non-Violent Communica- tion." PLO Assertion On Deaths Amsterdam (JTA) — The Palestine Liberation Organ- ization has asserted that eight of the 11 Israeli athletes killed at the 1972 Munich Olympics were slain by West German rather than Palestinian bullets. The assertion echoes the claim of relatives of nine of the victims who charge the Germans destroyed files on the Munich massacre. However, Bavaria's Justice Ministry said last week it found copies of miss- ing documents proving Pa- lestinian kidnappers killed all the Israelis. A Dutch correspondent in Tunisia who has close con- tacts with the PLO said the Palestinians claim they killed three of the Israelis. Henk Ruyssenaers said in a radio report that the PLO claims the others were killed by German gunfire. Bavaria's Justice Ministry said the documents proved the victims were shot with bullets from Kalachnikov rifles used by the Palestin- ians. Best wishes for a happy, healthy New Year.
