CALIFORNIA
REUNION
Harriet Fields Herman,
a 1955 graduate of Central
High School, and Rosalind
Moore Sarah, a former
Henry Ford High School
graduate, are planning a
reunion for former
Detroiters living in Nor-
thern California. "They do it
for New Yorkers every
year," said Ms. Herman, the
cultural arts director of the
Berkeley Richmond Jewish
Community Center in
Berkeley, Calif.
After the planners placed a
tiny ad in a throw-away
newspaper in Berkeley, the
phone has been ringing off
the hook from former
Detroiters who want to talk
about Faygo pop, Vernors
and Sanders hot fudge sun-
daes. Some of the reunion
planners include: Marcia
13ocan, Sandi and Ben
Harris, Susie R. Locke,
Carol Stone, Mitzi Ratcliff
and Paula Haberman.
The reunion will take
place Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. at the
Berkeley Jewish Commun-
'ty Center. For more infor-
mation, call Harriet Herman
at (510) 848-0237. 0
