who was having trouble get-
ting married . . . In despera-
tion, her mother suggested
she put an ad in the paper .. .
The girl put in an ad that
read, 'Attractive, young
homemaker desires compa-
nionship of man seeking
same' .. . After a few days the
mother asked her daughter if
anyone answered her ad .. .
The daughter hesitantly
replied, 'Yes; Papa.' "

Sosin tells of the two part-
ners, Moe and Sam, with a lit-
tle store in the middle of a
side street . . . 'Sam,' said
Moe, 'I think we'd better quit
the store. Business is terrible.
We haven't done much
business all this month. I
think we better close up and
look for a job' . . . 'I can't
understand it,' moaned Moe.
`We're not doing any business
at all, and here in the paper,
Johnson says that business is
wonderful . . . 'Well; said
Sam, shaking his head slow-
ly, 'maybe he's got a better

September Concert

The family of the late
Walter Litt and the Cultural
Commission of Congregation
Beth Abraham Hillel Moses
will present the Walter Litt
Memorial Concert 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 22 at the synagogue.
The featured artist that
evening will be singer and
guitarist, Claude Kadosh. Mr.
Kadosh will offer Spanish,
Israeli, American and Jewish
selections.
