Hears Altman

David Altman, recently ap-
pointed vice president for
global affairs of Bar-Ilan
University, will be the
speaker at the annual
University dinner Sept. 9 at
Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Mr. Altman is a graduate of
Bar-Ilan University and
received his Bachelor of Arts
in political science and
philosophy. He also has done
graduate work in the Univer-
sity's faculty of law as well as
in its department of life
sciences and its program for
Soviet studies. He has served
as deputy director general, as
president of the National
Union of Israeli Students, as
division director of Tel Aviv
District Court, and as a
special assistant to Moshe
Dayan in Arab-Israel
Relations.
Funds from the dinner will
go to provide short-term
scholarship funding for the
University's Exodus students.

Teen Fit Program

The Jewish Community
Center of Metropolitan
Detroit will offer a sign inter-
preted teen fit program. This
class will offer a cardiovascu-
lar workout, utilizing the
facilities of the Center's car-
diovascular center. Workouts
will include strength train-
ing, cross training, flexibility

and aquatics. Sign interpreta-
tion will be offered for the
duration of the class period.
Classes will begin 6:30-7:30
p.m. Sept. 16 for nine weekly
classes.
