Kids Konnection
Tracey Kraus and Dena
Novak, will be care givers for
the Kids Konnection program
3:30-6 p.m., Monday through
Friday, at the Washtenaw
County JCC.
The JCC will offer a special
enrichment class bonus.
Children enrolled in child
care five days a week are
eligible for one free After-
School Adventure per session.
These adventures include
creative interactive science
workshops with the Hands-
On Museum, boys and girls
basketball, the JCC Chess
Club, the JCC Karate Club
and Instructional Swimming
at the Y.

Weekly workshops in
modern dance for mature
adults are now being offered
at the Washtenaw County
Jewish Community Center
on Mondays 12:30-1:30 p.m.
The workshop is under the
direction of Jessica Shinn.
The workshops will provide
exercise and help increase
body awareness. Workshop
participants will move to
tapes of classical and jazz
music. For information on the

Center Sets
Dance Classes
Beginning this fall, the
Washtenaw County JCC will
host its very own dance
studio, provided by Dance
Studio 3, Inc., the JCC's
studio in residence.
Owned and operated by
Lisa Shapiro of Ann Arbor,
Dance Studio 3, Inc. will offer
young and adult dancers pro-
fessional training in a
familiar atmosphere.
Classes in ballet, tap, jazz
and baton for children ages 6
and up are now being offered
in addition to a class titled-
"Rhythm" for children ages 3
to 6 years. There are also
classes in both ballet and -
tap/jazz for adults.

Installs Board
Temple Shir Shalom install-
ed a new board of trustees at, -;
their. annual meeting. Serv-
ing his second year as presi -
dent is Wallace Sampson. -
The two vice presidents are -
Allan Rothfeder and Cheri
Victor. Mr. Rothfeder is on the
board of the Anti-Defamation
League and is active in
Hospice of Southeast-,
Michigan. Ms. Victor is a do-
cent at the Holocaust
Memorial Center, a past
president of Alpha Omega c
Auxiliary and a past board
member at the Jewish Corn-
munity Center.
The new treasurer is Dr.
Alan Mindlin, a graduate of 1,
the rabbinic aide program of '
the U.A.H.C. who is the chair- (=;
man of the religious and wor-
ship committee at the temple. `--=
Serving as secretary is Dr.
Norman Lynn. Dr. Lynn has Ji
been active in the Allied
Jewish Campaign-Profession-
al Division.
Elected for three-year terms
as trustees are Leah Foltyn,
Sidney Mintz, Merryl
Schwartz and Steven
Schwartz.
Two-year trustees are Ken-
neth Bershad, Robert Fine-
man, Robert Hertzberg,
Michael Nosanchuk, Michael
Salesin and Gordon
Weinstein.
