and small, according to Ann
Arbor delegation chair
Sharon Newman. The boys
have two players ages 15 and
16, the girls one 15-year-old.
Team sports are open to 13-
16-year-olds, while individual
sports are divided into 13-14
and 15-16 categories at the
Maccabi Games.
Ann Arbor's boys, like
Windsor's, have competed in
basketball since the 1986
games in Toronto. This is the
first year Ann Arbor is send-
ing a girls team.
The basketball teams are
coached by University of
Michigan juniors Noel Cim-
mino and Mark Singer, and
include Noah Bergman, An-
drew Cohen, Daniel Friend,
Eric Joffe, Adam Sokolove,
Alexis Tessler, Gabriel Urist,
Sarah Wasserman, Erica
Wiss, Dana Aronson, Sierra
Bloom, Kate Breiter, Serena
Cohen, Jesse Green and Jill
Herman.
In track, Rebecca Wark will
compete in the middle-dis-
tance events. Ann Arbor's
hope in tennis is 16-year-old
Alex Kotlyar, a Soviet Jew
who emigrated two years ago.
Uri Hoffer will coach Alex
in Baltimore. Sharon Lapides
will assist Mrs. Newman as
delegation head.
