Roeper Plans
August Artfest
Roeper City and Country
School's Booster Club will
present the Roeper Invita-
tional Artfest, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Aug. 22 and 23 at Roeper's
Bloomfield Hills campus,
Woodward north of Long Lake
Road.
This is a juried show and
sale of original fine art and
crafts. Eighty-six artists from
Michigan and 16 other states
will display their work. There
also will be demonstrations
by various artists throughout
each day.
This event is open to the
public and there is no admis-
sion cost. Food and
refreshments will also be
available.

At Maple-Drake
Vogages to Freedom: 500
years of Jewish Life in Latin
America and the Caribbean
is on exhibit at the Maple-
Drake Jewish Center. The ex-
hibit is a series of 20 panels
highlighting the theme of
migration, family and com-
qiunal life, culture and
e conomy covering 500 years of
le Jewish experience in the

America.

Oultural Arts Department of
the JCC, will speak on Travel
in Brazil and Argentina Aug.
