November, is debatable. The
reason is simply that the
Bush administration's past
policy of never missing an op-
portunity to tarnish Israel's
reputation worked — possibly
too well.
As Gary Rosenblatt has elo-
quently and perceptively
discussed in his article (July
24), many Jews feel that the
harsh and unusual punish-
ment of Jonathan Pollard, on
the charge of spying for
Israel, was undeserved.
President Bush now has a
remarkable opportunity to
show his kinder and gentler
side by granting a pardon to
Jonathan Pollard while
demonstrating his sincerity
in improving relations with
the Jewish community.
For those who care about
justice, such an act will be no
less electrifying than Presi-
dent Sadat's historic 1977
visit to Jerusalem.

It's easy to get your bank's undivided
attention—if your business or practice is the
size of a great white shark. Smaller com-
panies may be left to flounder on the hook.
Come to a bank that values your
business, even if you're not 'jaws".
Franklin Bank's Commercial Checking
account has all the angles you need.
Corporate vehicle financing, payroll services,
and the lowest cost commercial checking ac-
count in town.

And most important—to us you're a big
fish. You'll get big attention, big service, and
the President's phone number. If your big
bank is treating you like small fry, call
Franklin Bank today. Being a big fish is a lot
more fun.
