Meeting Set For
) Chazak Mission

Reservations are still being

mission. The meeting will
> take place 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5 in
the home of David R. Victor,

Soviet Union are included in
the trip. The Israel portion in-
cludes tours, meetings with
government officials, gather-
ings with new immigrants,
visits to military bases, shop-
ping and socializing.

Single and married men
and women age 25-45 are eli-
gible to attend. Cost of the
I mission is $2,100 with a
minimum pledge of $800 to
the 1993 Allied Jewish Cam-
paign. It includes round-trip
air fare from New York,
deluxe accommodations (dou-
ble occupancy), transporta-
tion, guides, gratuities and
--, most meals. An Israel-only
option also is available.
- Mr. Victor and Stacey A.
Crane are the local mission
chairmen. Lynn Sachse is the
regional chairman.
The mission is co-sponsored
by the Jewish Federation of
_ Metropolitan Detroit and the

Barbara Stollman and Neal
Zalenko have been reap-
pointed general chairmen of
the Detroit Friends of Bar-
Ilan University.
The Bar-Ilan dinner will be
held Sept. 9 at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. This year marks
the 40th anniversary of the
University's conception,
which took place in Detroit.

Food Drive
Set For August

A kosher canned food drive
will be held at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Jewish Com-
munity Center Aug. 10-13.
All contributions will be
donated to Yad Ezra, Detroit's

All kosher, non-perishable
food will be accepted at the
