City Of Hope
Golf Outing
The local Sophie and Harry
Hoffman Chapter for City of
Hope National Medical
Center will sponsor its third
annual golf outing at the
Links At Pinewood in Walled
Lake Aug. 5. All golfers are
welcome to participate in the
day-long event, which will
benefit City of Hope.
Registration for tee-off
begins at 7:30 a.m. Players
will have the chance to win a
new car from Bob Saks Olds-
mobile in the hole-in-one con-
test. Anchorman Huel
Perkins of WJBK-TV2 Eye-
witness News will serve as
master of ceremonies at the
evening banquet, 7:30 p.m.,
which will include the presen-
tation of awards and prizes
and an auction.
There is a charge; one may
arrange to attend all the
day's activities, including
meals, or the banquet only.
Local City of Hope
volunteers, Richard Gibbs,
Nate Goldberg, Arnold Gar-
vin, Earle Mostyn and Ber-
nice Kesner, are serving as
chairpersons for the event.
Proceeds from the golf
outing will benefit City of
Hope National Medical
Center.
