Our client, The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit,
is the central philanthropic organization of the Jewish
community in Southeastern Michigan ($30 million annual
campaign budget). Together with its Foundation and
member agencies, the Federation identifies needs within
the Jewish community, develops financial and human
resources, and coordinates planning, fundraising, bud-
get and advocacy to meet those needs. The Federation's
staff consists of about 100 personnel based in the north-
west suburbs.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, he/she will
direct and oversee all financial and administrative activi-
ties of the Federation and United Jewish Foundation.
Specific areas of responsibility will include: finance, ac-
counting and asset management, administration, plan-
ning, data processing, human resources, risk manage-
ment, central services and all day-to-day business activi-
ties. Further, he/she will interact daily with professional
and lay leaders in various constituency agencies.

Candidates must have a college degree, graduate de-
gree and/or CPA would be pluses. Background must
include at least 10 years of broad-based financial, ac-
counting and administrative experience, including strong
supervisory skills. Must be knowledgeable in data pro-
cessing applications and utilization. Background and
understanding of the beliefs, values and practices of the
various branches of Judaism would be very helpful.
