Highlights Series

Doc Robin Steele's Old Time
Medicine Show will entertain
at the Downtown Farmington
"Summer Fun Series" 10:30
a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30
p.m. July 15.
The production incor-
porates magic, ventriloquism,
and comedy into a variety
show.
The series, held every
Wednesday throughout the
summer, is a program of
events including a variety of
performances and interactive
experiences for families. Ac-
tivities are free and take
place under the green-and-
white striped tent in the
Downtown Farmington
Center parking lot on Grand
River, one block east of Farm-
ington Road.
The series is sponsored by
the Farmington Downtown
Development Authority, an
agency of the city of
Farmington.

Red Garter Band
Sets Free Concert

The Red Garter Band will
appear in Southfield's free
concert series sponsored by
the Cultural Arts Division of
the Parks and Recreation
Department 7 p.m. July 12 at
Prudential Town Center's
"Sun Bowl" located off Civic
Center Drive between North-
western Highway and Ever-
green Road.
All performances in this
Concert in the Park series are
free of charge.

lege's Highland Lakes Cam-
pus will kick off its outdoor
entertainment series, "A Lit-
tle Night Music."
The Tuesday night perfor-
mances in July and August
will take place in the natural
amphitheater on the campus'
front lawn, beginning at 7:30
p.m. The series, which is free
and open to the public, is
underwritten largely by con-
tributions from local
businesses.
Groups scheduled for the
'92 season are: July 14 - The
Lewis Family, down home
bluegrass music; July 21 -
The Song Sisters, an evening
of music for children and
parents; July 28 - Black-
thorn, popular Irish folk
entertainers; Aug. 4 - The
Music and Comedy Variety
Show; Aug. 11 - S'Cool, the
Schoolcraft College Jazz
ensemble.
