From Western Trip

in town that went
west this summer. A group
of local businessmen, ages
22-72, just returned from a
wild west trip at the Cot-
tonwood Cattle Ranch in
Elko, Nev., which included a
week of branding cattle and
sleeping in the wilderness.
"It was a blast," said Col-
eman Verona, who always
wanted to be a cowboy. The
group had a wild time per-
forming all the cowboy
duties. When rain was need-
ed, Chuck Gayer even per-
formed a rain dance. Mr.
Verona summed up the trip:
"It was a dream come true."

the gala fund-raiser ball for
the Detroit Institute of Arts

on Nov. 14, held their first

committee meeting at the
Country Club of Detroit.
"It's a very big job, and I'm
really honored." said Mrs.
Robinson, an artist who
makes her own paper to
paint on. In addition to being
named co-chair of Under the
Stars, she also is this year's
Art Train honoree.
The theme for Under the
Stars will be romantic.
Patrons can expect lots of
lace decorations at the
elegant and fun event. The
Chrysler Division of
Chrysler Corporation is a
major sponsor and will laun-
ch their new vehicle, the
Concorde. Organizers are
hoping to auction the Con-
corde, with Lee Iaccoca's
signature on the dashboard,
to DIA patrons.
