I OPEN SUNDAY 5 p.m. TO 10 p.m. I 29269 Southfield Road north of 12 Mile In The Southfield Commons ou've been seeing too many monster movies if you were in downtown Detroit and thought that was King Kong or whatever climbing up the Omni International Hotel. It was just good ol' Louie, a 90-foot inflatable crab, claw- ing his way upwards to kick off Omni's CrabFest for afi- cionados of the seafood delicacies now being featured in its 333 East restaurant. Much of the menu available through July. 31 takes in many popular crab recipes from Boston's noted Omni- Parker House, one of the city's oldest and finest-regarded restaurants. The Omni International Hotel here with its 254 guest rooms, including 17 suites, has received AAA Four- Diamond awards for quality and service in every one of its short six-year existence .. . Only 10 hotels in Michigan have been given this award. Hear tell that the real "Louie The Crab" may soon be visiting Omni to oversee things at its CrabFest . . . If so, the Omni folks better make certain he stays out of the kitchen . . .
