There is no charge. The Yiddish Culture Club Study Group will meet 12:30 p.m. July 9 at JPM. Medicare counseling and informal legal counseling are available to senior adults at JPM Thursdays at noon. Call for an appointment, 967-4030. There is no charge. Adults interested in callig- raphy or craft classes are in- vited to register for an eight- week summer series offered at JPM. Julia Bitten will of- fer a variety of simple craft projects, Tuesdays 12:30-1:30 p.m. Philip Golab is the in- structor for an introductory calligraphy class 10 a.m.-noon on Thursdays, beginning July 9. The Hearing Loss Support Group will meet at JPM the second and fourth Friday of each month 10 a.m.-noon in Room 2. Light refreshments are served. There is a charge for each session. Suzuki violin and viola will be taught by Lisa Saigh- Smith. One private and one group lesson each week will be given by this certified Suzuki instructor. Children, ages 3 years and up, are ac- cepted according to the availability of openings. Also offered will be private instruction in traditional piano and cello taught by pro- fessional, qualified teachers. All music lessons are open - to children and adults of all ages. Vision, Hearing Groups Meet The Jewish Community Center will offer peer group meetings for adults with vi- sion and hearing loss who are ages 18-55. A meeting on coping with hearing loss will be held at the Maple-Drake building 7 p.m. July 7. A meeting focusing on cop- ing with vision loss will be held 7 p.m. July 14. Senior Adults Tour Gallery The Senior Adult depart- ment of the Jewish Corn- munity Center of Metro- politan Detroit will host a do- cent tour of the Janice Charach Epstein Retrospec- tive exhibition 1 p.m. June 29 in the Museum/Gallery at the Maple-Drake building. 'Snow' Party For Seniors "Snow Fooling" — a Winter Wonderland Party is schedul- ed at the Southfield Senior Adult Center 6 p.m. July 22. A complete roast beef dinner will be served followed by games and prizes. Tickets must be purchased by July 15. For information, call the Senior Center, 354-9362. Senior Classes At Adult Center Senior classes will be held at Southfield Senior Adult Center. Bridge, beginning, in- termediate and advanced classes, will be offered. Classes in ceramics and sculpture as well as an ad- vanced art studio will be con- ducted by Carl Angevine. A drawing class will be in- structed by Judy Hall. Wood projects can be com- pleted with an instructor's help in the woodshop. Those who are interested in crafts may enjoy sewing, knit- ting/crocheting and beading. Piano lessons are available. Physical fitness is promoted in chair exercise, dance fitness and water exercise classes. Spanish classes also are offered this summer.
