Summer Season
The Detroit Symphony Or-
chestra will open its 29th
summer season at the
Meadow Brook Music
Festival July 2, 4 with Mitch
Miller. Mr. Miller's July 2
-) concert, titled "March Along
• with Mitch," will feature
many marches, a salute to
Hollywood and a sing-along
(‘ with Mitch.
The July 4 concert, featur-
ing soprano Gail Nelson, will
center around the music of
' George Gershwin and Irving
Berlin. Both performances
will end with a display of
fireworks.
Designated as the Chrysler
Concert Series, performances
will be held in the woodland
setting of the outdoor
Baldwin Pavilion of the
Me0ow Brook Music
