host the annual Chalk It Up
— a chalk drawing event for
children 3 to 8 years old July
9-10.
Each child will have an op-
portunity to draw with chalk
on a designated block of —
sidewalk for one hour. Draw- —
ings must reflect the ideas of
summer, cartoons or
patriotism. The event is free.
Chalk It Up is planned 11
a.m.-noon for 3 to 5 year olds
on July 9; for 6 to 8 year olds
July 10. Check-in and side- '-
walk space assignments will
be made 10:45-11 a.m.
Children 3 to 5 years may
be assisted by a parent while
the older children must go it
alone. Those children 6 tr 8
must also bring a pre,'
sketch of what they 10 7-
draw. All children will r,
