stage crew of the An-

dance studio in Farmington
Hills was busy last week
looking for a job on stage at
Seaholm High School. These
22 parents, whose children
all dance, performed a jazz
dance to the '50s song "Get a
Job" in the year-end recital.
"We have a core group of
parents every year to assist
with the show who changes
the sets and organize the
children," said Annette
Bergasse, owner of Annette
and Company. "They give
their support, and it's impor-
tant to show their children
that they get involved, " she

Janis and Sam Holc-
man of West Bloomfield
are dance parents who per-
formed in the number. Their
two children, Bradley and
Dana, dance with the
studio. "The crew helps back
stage with the props, make-
up, babysitting and getting
the children changed," said
Mrs. Holcman. The
Holcmans spend four nights
a week at the studio either
carpooling children or
taking classes themselves.
Mr. Holcman, owner of
Computer and Engineering
Consultants (CEC) of
Southfield, dances because it
helps with job stress. "It's a
contrasting set of activities,
and it keeps my mind off
pressures." He also men-
tioned that dancing keeps
the family together by allow-
ing them to spend time with
each other.
The parent group perform-
ed the first number in the
show. "They brought the
