Money Matters
Seminar Set
The Women's Endowment
Committee of the Federated
Endowment Fund will host a
"Money Matters Seminar" to
take the mystery out of per-
sonal financial planning with
an eye toward helping the
community 8:45 a.m. June 29
at the Max M. Fisher
Building.
The gathering, which will
focus on financial, estate, in-
surance and charitable plan-
ning, is sponsored in coopera-
tion with the Women's Divi-
sion and the Business and
Professional Women's Divi-
sion of the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit.
Workshops will cover: the
what and why of financial
planning, the vocabulary of
investments, developing in-
vestment objectives, the
ABCs of estate planning, tak-
ing the mystery out of in-
surance, and leaving our foot-
print on the community.
Speakers will include: Lin-
da Wasserman Aviv, a tax at-
torney specializing in estate
planning; Susan Citrin, co-
chairman of the Women's En-
dowment Committee with
Ms. Aviv; Elyse Essick, vice
president and director of
client services for Munder
Capital Management; Shirley
Harris, a Chartered Life
Underwriter; Donald Lansky,
a tax law specialist; and
Kathryn Gilson Sussman, an
attorney and specialist in
estate planning, probate and
non-profit organizations.
The Women's Endowment
Committee organizes educa-
tional programs for women on
personal money management
and endowment development
on behalf of the Federated En-
dowment Fund of the Jewish
Federation.
Na'amat Sets
Annual Luncheon
Elaine Kohner has been ap-
pointed chairman of Na'amat
USA's Spiritual Adoption
Luncheon noon July 16 at
Beth Abraham-Hillel Moses.
The annual event is design-
ed to raise funds for Israel's
neediest children. A
minimum contribution is re-
quired to attend the lun-
