Singles Mission
Set For July
A limited number of places
are still available for the
Hatikvah Summer Singles
Mission to Israel July 26-Aug.

Geared for men and women
age 25-40, the mission will of-
fer participants the oppor-
tunity to meet other Jewish
singles from throughout the
U.S. and relax on Israel's
beaches, stroll down ancient
streets and see Israel's
history.
Young Adults will plant
trees to enhance the Israeli
landscape, observe the ab-
sorption of new immigrants
from the former Soviet Union
and Ethiopia, visit a Youth
Aliyah village and vocational
retraining program, discuss
Middle East peace prospects
with government officials and
meet kibbutzniks, soldiers
and young Israeli profes-
sionals. Local participants
will visit Detroit's Project
Renewal sister city of Yavne.
Cost of the mission is
$1,730 with a minimum
pledge of $500 to the 1993
Allied Jewish Campaign. The
mission includes accommoda-
tions at five-star hotels,
round-trip airfare from New
York and most meals.

Family Picnic

New Horizons
Meeting Set
The New Horizons Group of
the City of Hope will hold a
general meeting 7:30 p.m.
June 28 at Pine Aire club-
house. The meeting will be
followed by board and card
games. There is no charge.
The City of Hope is collec-
ting donations of clothing,
toys, and small household
items for a rummage sale Ju-
ly 18-19. All donations are

Hosts Evening
Singles ages 25-40 will be
hosted at the first Vanguard
event 7:30 p.m. June 24 at
Breaker's in Royal Oak. The
group will meet for an even-
ing of billiards, pizza and
salad.
Vanguard, under the
auspices of Hadassah, is a
newly formed singles group
for Jewish men and women.
