JHA Honors. Weisberg,
Installs Its Officers

At the recent annual
meeting of the Jewish Home
for Aged, the installation of
the 1992-93 officers and board
members took place. Elected
to the board for new three-
year terms were: Dr. Stewart
Epstein, Stuart Epstein,
Robert Kleiman, Gary Shiff-
man and Leah Snider. Re-
elected to additional three-
year terms were: Leonard
Baron, Maxine Canvasser,
Marvin Danto, Baejamin
Frank, Marvin Goldman,
Evelyn Kasle, Milford Nemer
and Jack Schon.
Elected as officers were:
Jack Schon, president; Mar-
vin Goldman and Michael
Perlman, vice presidents;
Michael Kramer, vice presi-
dent and treasurer, and Julie
Levy, secretary.

Jack Schon was praised by
past president Herbert
Aronsson for his leadership
and personal involvement in
the Home. Schon noted that
the Home has been getting its
house in financial order while
at the same time focusing on
care issues, family involve-
ment and stronger communi- •
ty ties.

Life membership was be-
stowed upon Bernard Weis-
berg for his years of service on
the board. In delivering
remarks preceding the
presentation of a life member
plaque, past president Robert
Steinberg described Weis-
berg's sensitivity to the needs
of Jewish elderly and his
direct involvement with the
Home.

Honors Volunteers

At the recent volunteer
recognition party for the
Jewish Home for Aged, the
Volunteer Group Award for
1992 was presented to the
Sally Allan Alexander Beth
Jacob School for Girls' ches-
ed program, which visited
Borman Hall residents every
Sunday morning.
The Volunteer of the Year
award was presented to Anna
Mickel, who has given 18
years of service to the Home.
