Na'amat USA, Greater
Detroit Council, will hold its
end of year tea 1 p.m. June 18
at the Crown Pointe building.
President Evelyn Noveck
will give her annual report.
Lynn Wax, Midwest Area
Coordinator from Chicago,
will give an update on the
work of Na'amat Israel.
Soprano Noami Gurt, ac-
companied by her father
Joseph Gurt, will present a
program including songs by
Leonard Bernstein, Israeli
folk songs, and selections
from musicals. Ms. Gurt has
performed at U-M as well as
at Interlochen and the Aspen
Music Festival. Joseph Gurt
has performed with the
Detroit and Plymouth Sym-
phonies and has appeared in
Israel, Hong Kong and
Australia.
There is no charge for the
afternoon and refreshments
will be served.

Holds Meeting

The Metropolitan Chapter
of Na'amat USA will meet
noon June 1 in the Crown
Pointe building.
Ruth Miller, past president
of Na'amat — Greater Detroit
Council, will be the speaker.

`Sparks' Play
Open To Community

Jewish Experiences For
Families and the Agency For
Jewish Education will spon-
sor the second performance of
Sparks: A Jewish Journey. It
will be held 11 a.m. May 31
in the auditorium of United
Hebrew Schools. There is no
charge.
The play is performed by
New Americans and Jewish
teen-agers from the Com-
munity Jewish High School.
The production was written
and directed by Corinne
Stavish.
