JEWISH SUPPORT SERVICES
FOR ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS

Gollbach-Gardner

Mrs. Gail Hickman of Bir-
mingham and Mr. William
Gollbach of Livonia proudly
announce the engagement of
their daughter, Kristine Go11-
bach, to Martin Gardner, son
of Herbert and Margo Gard-
ner of Bloomfield Hills.
Kristine is a graduate of

Wayne State University
School of Business. Martin
is a graduate of Lawrence
Technological University
School of Architecture.
The couple will be married
in August by Rabbi Lane Ste-
inger at Temple Emanu-El in
Oak Park.

FACT:

Since 1986, 35 Jewish adults with mental illness have come
out of Clinton Valley Center, a state psychiatric hospital, to
live at the Kadima residence.

FACT:

Through our comprehensive programs, they re-learned daily
living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, working and
socializing, but most of all, they gained self-respect.

FACT:

Kadima provided the opportunity for these adults to
rediscover themselves as individuals and as Jews.

FACT:

There are still Jews residing at Clinton Valley Center
who are being denied their Jewish identity daily.

FACT:

Without your support, these Jews will be lost to the Jewish
community.

Kadima needs to rescue these individuals. Through your support, another
house can be established and Jewish roots can be rediscovered. Support
Kadima at our 1992 Gala Fundraiser, "Jazz in the Courtyard," on
September 13, 1992. For information, please call (313) 559-8235.
