TEENS STACI BLOCH KEVIN AGREST JULIE BECKER BEN BERES Agrest has medicine as a career goal. He plans to at- tend Michigan State Univer- sity. Kevin has studied Hebrew at Southfield-Lathrup for four years. He has main- tained a 3.8 grade point average during his high school career. Kevin has also played varsity tennis for three years. He earned the Phil Beta Kap- pa certificate award. Kevin will return to Camp Maas this summer to be a junior counselor. Becker has been very active on the Academic Games team, serving as captain this year. She works part time at the local library and is vice presi- dent of the Birmingham 'Tem- ple Youth Group. As the valedictorian at Renaissance, she received a Wade McCree scholarship to the University of Michigan, and plans to study political science prior to a career in law or politics. Beres is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the National Honor Society, and is Hebrew valedictorian. He was a stu- dent council officer for two years and basketball co- captain. He has been active in B'nei Akiva, including a leadership seminar in Israel, and has been a Torah reader at Young Israel of Oak Woods for four years. He will study in Israel at Yeshivat Sha'alvim and attend Yeshiva Uni- versity. Bloch will attend James Madison College at Michigan State University next year and plans to pursue a career in law. She has been active at Temple Shir Shalom and with B'nai B'rith Youth Organiza- tion. This summer, she plans to continue working at the 46th District Court in Southfield for the second con- secutive year. She plans to continue her Hebrew studies at MSU. SARA BORENSTEIN ROCHELLE BRODER DEBBY CARP DEBRA CHOPP Borenstein is a recipient of the Phi Beta Kappa award. She is a leader in Bnos Agudath Israel youth groups. She is also active in band, choir and drama groups in her school. She plans to go to Jerusalem next year to attend Machon Bnos Yehuda Seminary for Teachers. Broder, ninth in her class, has been a Shira BBG ex- ecutive board member for two years, on North's yearbook staff for four years, currently as editor-in-chief, is a Hillel graduate, and is a Torah reader. She has six varsity let- ters as student trainer for foot- ball and 'basketball, four academic letters and is a Na- tional Honor Society member. She will attend the Universi- ty of Evansville, majoring in magazine journalism. Carp is flag corps captain for the marching band, involved in Interact community service organization and a member of the National Honor Society. She is graduating Phi Beta Kappa. She will attend In- diana University to study business and pre-law. She hopes to spend her junior year at Hebrew University in Israel. Chopp has been a member of B'nei Akiva for the past eight years and now coordinates and directs all activities for grades 6-8. She served as student council vice president in her junior year and for the past two years has been the editor of the yearbook. Debra belongs to the National Honor Society. Next year she will study at Midreshet Linden- baum in Israel, and the follow- ing year attend the Universi- ty of Michigan.
