Pine Knob Concerts
Set For May

Sesame Street's Bob
McGrath will appear at the
New Pine Knob May 9 for
shows at 1 and 5 p.m. to open
the venue's second season.
Bob McGrath has been one
of the original hosts on
"Sesame Street" since its in-
ception 23 years ago. He is
also a successful recording ar-
tist and concert performer.
Comedians Dave Coulier
and Bob Saget, stars of ABC
TV's "Full House," will ap-
pear at the New Pine Knob
7:30 p.m. May 22.
Disney's Craig and Co. will
be appearing at the New Pine
Knob May 24 for /shows at 1
p.m. and 5 p.m.
Thirty-three-year-old Craig
Taubman has recorded five
albums for children and has
become one of Southern
California's most popular
children's music artists.
A singer and performer
since childhood, Mr. Taubman
was writing and performing
his own music by the time he
was in high school. He brings
laughter, warmth and rock
and roll to children and
parents.

DSO Hosts
Final Concert

The Detroit Symphony
Civic Orchestra's 1991-92
season will conclude with a
performance by two of this
year's DSCO Concerto Corn-
petition Winners 3:30 p.m.
May 10 at Orchestra Hall.
The concert, conducted by
Civic Orchestra Music Direc-
tor Leslie B. Dunner and
Civic Associate Conductor
Joseph Striplin, features
clarinetist Patrick Leyden
performing the first move-
ment of Mozart's Clarinet
Concerto and pianist Alana
Starr performing the second
and third movements of
Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1.
The concert also includes
Larsen's Collage: Boogie,
Brahms' Academic Festival
Overture, and Mussorgsky's
Pictures At an Exhibition.
