Youth All-Nighter
Set By Federation

The Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit is in-
viting all 9th-12th-graders in
the community to stay "Up
All Night for the Allied
Jewish Campaign" May 9-10
at the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center.
The event is an opportuni-
ty to meet other teens while
learning about the Jewish
community and the Cam-
paign. Sponsored by Federa-
tion's Youth Campaign Com-
mittee, it will begin at 10:30
p.m. The doors will remain
open until midnight, being
kept closed until breakfast at
7 a.m.
Attendees will participate
in the Walk For Israel at
11:30 a.m. and programs in
the afternoon.
Participants at the all-
nighter will have full use of
the Jewish Center's facilities,
including the gymnasium,
the swimming pool and the
new Edward and Shirley
Rosenberg Recreation Com-
plex. Movies will be shown
and snacks will be provided
throughout the night.
Those attending are en-
couraged to bring tzedakah,
or contributions to the Cam-
paign. They also should bring
tennis balls and racquets,.
bathing suits and sleeping
bags. Rooms will be available
for those who want to sleep.
The Youth Campaign Corn-
mittee consists of represen-
tatives from Jewish youth
groups, including B'nai B'rith
Youth Organization, United
Synagogue Youth, Michigan
State Temple Youth, National
Conference of Synagogue
Youth, Young Judaea and
Project Discovery.

Mother's Day Event
At Temple Beth El

Temple Beth El's Brother-
hood will host their annual
tribute to Mom 11 a.m. May
10 at a Brotherhood Mother's
Day Brunch at the temple.
In addition to the buffet and
a floral gift to mothers, there
will be an opportunity to take
a family portrait. A variety of
photo options are being of-
fered with a call to Mitzi

charge both for the
photographs and the brunch.
