The spring season will
bring seasoned furniture,
clocks, glassware, jewelry,
rare books, and other
treasures to Henry Ford
Museum and Greenfield
Village for the eighth annual
Village Antiques Show May
8-10.
The museum's Lovett Hall
will provide the setting for 44
dealers from across the na-
tion. Each will present a
distinctive selection of anti-
que merchandise, available in
Michigan for the first time.
Complementing the show is
the Katharine B. Hagler
Memorial Mini Forum, a free
lecture series designed for the
private collector. Pat
Guthman, dealer in 18th and
19th century cooking iron
and furniture, will discuss
"Iron for the Hearth" May 8.
David Lindquist, dealer in
18th and 19th century
English and country French
antiques, will present "Anti-
que Furniture: What to Know
Before You Buy" May 9.
Both talks are included
with Village Antiques Show
admission.
A preview night party May
7 will offer an advance oppor-
tunity to survey and purchase
antiques.
Proceeds from the Village
Antiques Show support the
educational programs of
Henry Ford Museum and
Greenfield Village, including
the Innovation Station, the
Mentorship Program and the
Time Travelers program.
Tickets for the Village An-
tiques Show are separate
from regular museum or
village admission. .A single
ticket purchase is good for all
three days of the show.
For information, call the
Henry Ford Museum office,
271-1620.
