The speaker will be former
U.S. Congressman William
M. Brodhead. Mr. Brodhead
was first elected to the U.S.
Congress in 1974. He retired
in 1982. He had served on the
House Ways and Means and
Budget Committees and was
chairman of the Democratic
Study Group in 1981/82. A
graduate of Wayne State
University and of the Univer-\
sity of Michigan Law School,
Mr. Brodhead served as trial-
attorney for the Law Depart-
ment of the City of Detroit.
He is in private law practice
as a partner in the law firm
of Plunkett and Cooney.
