Survivors
Are Sought

The Justice Department is
seeking survivors of the
Holocaust who may be of help
in the prosecution of Nazi
criminals and collaborators
still at large.
The Department is trying
to identify and interview peo-
ple who lived in specific areas
of Lithuania, Poland or
Byelorussia, or who were im-
prisoned at the concentration
camps listed below:
• Residents of Swdniki
(Sudniki), Nowgrodek, Po-
land, or Zareche, Byelorussia,
during the period from 1937
to 1942. We particularly want
to speak with witnesses to the
murder, persecution and
deportation of civilians to
ghettos and concentration
camps by German armed
forces and their agents.
• Residents of Kaur as,
Lithuania, or of the are in
and around Minsk, 133 10-
russia, during the period f om
1941 to 1942. We particuiar-
ly seek witnesses to the
murder and persecution of
civilians at Forts VII and IX
in Kaunas, and in the area in
and around Minsk during the
fall and winter of 1941-42.
• Residents of Krakow, Po-
land, during 1941-42, par-
ticularly witness to the tak-
ing of property and homes,
and the murder and persecu-
tion of civilians by German
armed forces and their
agents.
• Persons imprisoned at
Bunal/Manowitz in 1942,
Jaworzno/Neu Dachs, and
Janinagrube (and other
related subcamps and coal
mines) from mid-1942
through liberation, and/or
who went on evacuation mar-
ches from those camps.
The Justice Department is
seeking only survivors of the
particular Auschwitz sub-
camps listed during the par-
ticular periods specified, not
survivors of other parts of
Auschwitz.
