and a founder of the Lyric
Chamber Ensemble, will be
the performer at the general
meeting of the Music Study
Club of Metropolitan Detroit
1 p.m. April 28, at the Birm-
ingham Temple.
Born in Romania, Ms.
Horowitz graduated from the
Bucharest Conservatory in
1960. She has been a soloist
with symphonies here and
abroad, including the Israeli
Broadcasting Orchestra, the
Charlotte Symphony and the
University of North Carolina.
She has taught piano and
chamber classes in the Rubin
Academy of Music, Jerusa-
lem; University of North
Carolina; Eastern Michigan
University and the Universi-
ty of Michigan-Dearborn. She
will be performing the works
of Chopin.
Dessert at 12:15 p.m. will
precede the recital. There will
be a charge for non-members.
