17,000 students on April 13
at Joe Louis Arena with help
from mega star Arnold

John Engler joined Mr.
Schwarzeneggar on stage for
some energizing aerobics.
Mr. Schwarzeneggar was
in town to meet with Gover-
nor Engler and Mrs. Par-
trich for an educational
summit for the President's
Council on Physical Fitness
and Sports to continue to de-
velop local fitness programs.
"I want to make the '90s a
fitness decade," said Mr.
Schwarzeneggar.
Myrna Patrich also echoed
the same sentiment. "For
the past 10 years, as well as
today, we offer free of charge
to physical educators our
classes and consultation on
how to incorporate aerobic
exercise classes into a gym
program."

cionados at Joe Louis Arena
included: Barbara Schiff
of the Workout Company,
Arlene Barris, Brenda
Worth, Lorraine Leib,
Janet Aronoff, Mattie
Forbes, Jan Hauser, Gail
Burstein and the third
grade class of Hillel Day

INSIDE ART
Crosswinds Mall will be
the site for the first annual
West Bloomfield Inside Art
to benefit the Detroit Zoo,
May 1 at 5 p.m. through May
3. The invitational art show
will feature 47 artists. Ad-
mission is free, but raffle
tickets will be available to
benefit the zoo.

RISING STARS
Roz and Sherm Becker
recently announced the
winners of the third annual
Rising Star scholarship pro-
gram at the Center for
Creative Studies (CCS).
Three students shared
$5,000 in scholarships.
Native Detroiters Karen
and Eric Erikson of
Showroom Seven in New
York City received the Ris-
ing Star award for their
outstanding work in jewelry
design and promotion.

The 75th anniversary
celebration of the Greater
Detroit Chapter of Hadassah
will take place 7:30 p.m.
April 28 at Cong. Beth Ab-
raham Hillel Moses, featur-
ing author Judith Viorst
speaking on "What is a
