Donna Phillips will be in-
stalled for her second term as
Temple Israel Sisterhood
President at their annual in-
stallation luncheon 11 a.m.
May 11 at Temple Israel.
The installation will be
followed by luncheon and an
installation program. Linda
M. Brodsky, president of Tem-
ple Israel and past president
of the Sisterhhood, will be the
installing officer. The in-
stallation program will
feature Temple Israel's Can-
tor Harold Orbach, accom-
panied by Zena Shayket. The
program is sponsored by the
Helen S. Ibbias Memorial
Fund.
Ms. Phillips' involvement
with Sisterhood began when
she worked as youth group
advisor. Before being elected
president in 1991, she served
on Sisterhood's executive
board as vice president of pro-
gram, vice president of ways
and means, and vice presi-
dent of committee on
committees.
Ms. Phillips has held many
positions in organizations
throughout our community,
including president of the
auxiliary to the Michigan Op-
tometric Association, and
trustee on the Michigan Af-
filiate of the American Foun-
dation for Vision Awareness
Board.

April 28 at Sutton Place club-
house. The two chapters will
merge in May and will be
known as Brandeis-Tikvah
Chapter 599.
The tentative slate for the
1992-93 administration will
be presented. The program
will feature Anne Borrusch,
instructor for health educa-
tion development of Botsford
Hospital speaking on "The
Magic of Humor?' There is a
charge for the luncheon.
The installation luncheon
will take place May 19 also at
Sutton Place clubhouse. For

Volunteer Network
Organizes Events

The Business and Profes-
sional Women's Division of
the Jewish Federation has
organized the Volunteer Net-
work, which offers oppor-
tunities to volunteer in the
metropolitan Detroit area.
Following National
Volunteer Week, April
26-May 2, events have been
organized at Yad Ezra kosher
food bank, at the Jewish
Home for Aged's Borman
Hall and at Simon House,
transition residence for HIV
positive mothers and
children.
