Seminary Dinner
Names Chairmen

Barbara Cook and Dr.
Alden Leib will be dinner
chairmen of the Metropolitan
Detroit Annual Citywide Din-
ner on behalf of the Jewish
Theological Seminary of
America June 18 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
A past president of Adat
Shalom Synagogue, Mrs.
Cook is a member of the
boards of the Women's Divi-
sion of the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit and
Jewish Federation Apart-
ments. She also is serving as
chairman of this year's Israel
Independence Day celebra-
tion. She has served as vice
president at Hillel Day
School.
Dr. Leib specializes in
peridontics in Dearborn,
where he has been practicing
since 1966. He was a past ex-
aminer for the Michigan
State Board of Dentistry and
has served on the ethics and
peer review committee of the
Detroit District Dental Socie-
ty. Dr. Leib serves on the
board of trustees as well as
being an officer of Shaarey
Zedek's Men's Club.

B'nai B'rith Hosts
Health Care Forum

B'nai B'rith will sponsor a
public affairs forum on
Health Care Reform 8 p.m.
May 7 in the Shiffman Hall of
the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center.
Speakers will be State
Representative Maxine Ber-
man and State Senator David
M. Honigman. Also joining
the forum will be Kevin Seitz,
director planning and
research, Blue Cross/Blue
Shield of Michigan; Bill
Baiocchi, vice president
hospital services, Henry Ford
Hospital; and from Chicago,
B'nai B'rith Insurance
regional director, Lewis Katz.
The moderator will be 46th
District Court Judge Stephen
C. Cooper.
Refreshments will be serv-
ed; there is a charge. For
