Teens Hold
All-Night Event

All 9th-12th-graders in the
community are invited to stay
"Up All Night for the Allied
Jewish Campaign" May 9-10
at the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center.
Sponsored by the Youth
Campaign Committee of the
Jewish Federation of Metro-
politan Detroit, the event is
an opportunity to meet other
teens, while learning about
the Jewish community and
the Campaign. Beginning at
10:30 p.m., the doors will re-
main open until midnight.
Then they will be kept closed
until breakfast at 7 a.m.
Attendees will participate
in the Walk for Israel at 11:30
a.m. and programs in the
afternoon.
Participants at the all-
nighter will have full use of
the Jewish Center's facilities,
including the gymnasium,
the swimming pool and the
new Edward and Shirley
Rosenberg Recreation Com-
plex. Movies will be shown.
Those attending are en-
couraged to bring tzedakah or
contributions to the Cam-
paign. They also should bring
tennis balls and racquets,
bathing suits and sleeping
bags, as rooms will be
available for those who want
to sleep.
Organized by Sheri Schiff
and Alan Yost, co-chairmen,
and Susan Harold, associate
chairman, the Youth Cam-
paign Committee consists of
representatives from Jewish
youth groups.
The committee is looking
for volunteers to chaperone
the event.
There is a charge. For infor-

Adat Shalom Youth
Lead Services

Adat Shalom youth will
lead the Passover morning
service in the synagogue's
main sanctuary April 19.
Students in sixth through
12th grade will take part.
They have been trained by
Cantor Larry Vieder.
Leading the service will be
