ASL Class

The Jewish Community
Center of Metropolitan
Detroit has added Mary Wells
to its teaching staff, instruc-
ting a theatrical curriculum
beginning this summer,
"American Sign Language in
the Dramatic Sense." Mary
Wells is the artistic director
and founder of Sign Players
Unlimited. All classes will
begin July 6; adults will meet
Mondays and Wednesdays
8-9:30 p.m.; teens will meet
Mondays 6:30-7:30 p.m.; and
children (ages 8-12) will meet
Mondays 4:30-5:30 p.m. At
the end of the four-week
semester all students will
prepare for a performance in
ASL. For fee information, call
the Center, 661-1000.

Home For Aged
Meeting May 21

The annual meeting of the
Jewish Home for Aged will be
held 7 p.m. May 21 at
Fleischman Residence/Blum-
berg Plaza in West Bloom-
field. The evening will in-
clude the election and in-
stallation of officers. The com-
munity is invited.
