Lubavitch Sponsors
Passover Events

The Lubavitch Foundation
will sponsor a number of
Passover activities in
Michigan:
Friends of Refugees of
Eastern Europe (F.R.E.E.),
directed by Rabbi Yosef
Mishulovin, is preparing a
seder for 400 Russian families
on the first night and 300
Russian families on the se-
cond night of Passover at Con-
gregation Dovid Ben Nuchim
in Oak Park. Haggadot with
Russian translation (publish-
ed by Lubavitch) will be used.
University of Michigan
Chabad House, directed by
Rabbi Aharon Y. Goldstein,
will hold two seders — on the
first night of Passover for 200
students and community
families and on the second
night of Passover for 75. Com-
munal Passover meals will
also be served on the last two
days of the holiday.
Congregation Beth Chabad
of Farmington Hills, under
the direction of Rabbi Chayim
M. Bergstein, will distribute
200 pounds of shmura mat-
zah. Chometz for 2,000
families will also be sold, us-
ing special legal forms
designed by the Rabbi.
Chabad House of Eastern
Michigan, led by Rabbi Israel-
Weingarten in Flint, will hold
two communal seders for
newly-arrived Russian
families. Shmura matzah will
be delivered in Flint, Bay
City, Saginaw and Lapeer
County. A model seder will be
held for children. "Moeis
chitim" assistance packages
for the needy, containing
kosher-for-Passover food, will
also be delivered.
Chabad of North Oak Park,
directed by Rabbi Yehoshua
Morozow, has scheduled
several events including an
afternoon of fun for children
at Marvelous Marvin's Magic
Machine (during the Inter-
mediate Days).
