Hadassah Hosts
Judith Viorst

The Greater Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah will
commemorate its 75th an-
niversary with a program
featuring author Judith
Viorst 7:30 p.m. April 28 at
Congregation Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses.
Ms. Viorst will speak on
"What is a Grown-Up?" She
is known for her children's
books and those of prose and
poetry.
A dessert reception will
follow. Ms. Viorst's books will
be available for sale and
autographing.

Uprising
Observance

The Workmen's Circle will
hold its annual Warsaw Ghet-
to Uprising Observance 7:30

For Klein Award

The Jewish Community
Council is now soliciting ap-
plications for the Walter E.
Klein Youth Award, which
will be presented at the Coun-
cil's Annual Meeting May 26.
The Klein Award is design-
ed to honor area Jewish youth
groups for their participation
and commitment to social ac-
tion. Interested applicants
