Temple Kol Ami
Sets Photo Exhibit

Temple Kol Ami will host
the photo exhibit "The
Miracle of Operation
Solomon" through April 20.
The photographs in this ex-
hibit depict the exodus of
Ethiopian Jews from the
misery of Ethiopia to the land
of hopes and dreams, Israel.
This exhibit presents the pro-
gression of events of May
23-24, 1991; from boarding
the Hercules planes in
Ethiopia to their arrival on
Israeli soil. Israel
photographer, Tzachi Ostrov-
sky, shows the struggle and
the joy of the journey in each
individual's face.
In
Israel,
Israeli
photographer, Isaac Harari,
captured the signs of exhaus-
tion from the journey as well
as the joy and anticipation of
a happier, healthier future.
Tzachi Ostrovsky
documented their initial reac-
tion to their lives in the Pro-
mised Land.

Detroit Mercy
Stages Play

Criminal Hearts, the latest

play by Jane Martin, will be
given its world premiere by
the Theatre Company of the
University of Detroit Mercy,
April 24-May 10.
Curtain times will be 8 p.m.
Thursdays, Fridays and
Saturdays, and 7 p.m. Sun-
days. A Sunday matinee per-
formance will be given May 3
at 2 p.m.
