' The problem is that civil divorce does not in any way negate the state of the marriage in Jewish law. The cou- ple is still husband and wife until a GET has been writ- - - ten by a proper Scribe before a competent Rabbinical Court in accordance with the Code of Jewish Law, with two witnesses who are Shomer Shabbps.
