This conference will feature authors Blu Greenberg and Susan Weidman Schneider as well as Jewish feminist and humorist Judith Sloan and singer Penny Steyer. Addi- tionally, 12 workshops, an art gallery, a book fair, a film ex- hibit and a banquet will be included. The conference is free and sign interpreters, day care and home hospitality will be provided at no cost with ad- vance arrangements only. OCC Students Recall Holocaust The Jewish Student Association of Oakland Com- munity College — Orchard Ridge, in conjunction with the Human Enrichment Center and the Student Activities Department, will present its second Holocaust Remem- brance program April 7-9. The topic will be Overcom- ing Hatred; the program will begin 7 p.m. April 7. A video will be shown featuring Bill Moyers and Elie Wiesel and speakers from the Anti- Defamation. League, Amnes- ty International and the NAACP. OCC's English Professor Peter Stine will discuss his published essay comparing the Armenian genocide and the Holocaust 7 p.m. April 8. Native Americans and Holocaust survivors will share their experiences. The non-denominational Remembrance Service will be 7 p.m. April 9.
