Prechter To Speak
At Economic Forum

The Economic Forum of the
Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit will
host Heinz Prechter, chair-
man and chief executive of
ASC, Inc., noon March 30 at
the Radisson Plaza Hotel in
Southfield.
Mr. Prechter, who built his
company from a one-man
operation in the 1960s to an
international corporation
with nearly 3,000 employees,
will relate his experience as
a participant in President
George Bush's recent trade
mission to Japan.
A sign-language interpreter
will be present, and there is
a charge for the luncheon. For

Class In Yiddish
At The Midrasha

The Midrasha — College of
Jewish Studies is offering an
"Introduction to Yiddish II"
on Tuesdays, from 7:30-8:30
p.m., beginning March 31 for
eight sessions.
The course is designed for
students who have taken one
semester of Yiddish or have
some knowledge of the Yid-
dish language. Students will
acquire basic skills in
reading, conversation and
comprehension.
Class will be held at the
United Hebrew Schools
Building and will be taught
by Rabbi Dovid Polter.
There is a charge. For infor-
