Matzah Factory
Will Be Open

A Matzah Factory offering
youngsters a hands-on
Passover experience will be
sponsored by the Washtenaw
County Jewish Community
Center in cooperation with
Chabad April 8, 9, 10 and 12.
Participants will each
create a piece of matzah from
a ball of dough, baking it in
a pizza oven donated to the
JCC to make the Matzah Fac-
tory possible. They will also
view a Passover video and
listen to the story of the Jews'
exodus from Egypt.
Participating in the Matzah
Factory will be Rabbi Aharon
Goldstein, director of Chabad
House, who will man the out-
door oven. JCC staff will also
supervise children par-
ticipating in the event.
The Matzah Factory will be
open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Reserva-
tions are necessary for the 20
minute tour; the cost is $1.50
per child. Please call
971-0990 to reserve.

of immigration and absorp-
tion being run by the Jewish
Agency in Israel.

Washtenaw County blacks
and Jews will once again
gather to celebrate their com-
mon heritage of liberation
from slavery in a
Black/Jewish Freedom Seder
to be held 6 p.m. April 9 at the
Washtenaw County Jewish
Community Center.
This year's seder will
highlight a photographic ex-
hibit of Operation Solomon,
the airlift of over 14,000
Ethiopian Jews to Israel on
Friday, May 24, 1991.
The Black/Jewish Freedom
Seder is a project of the
Black/Jewish Coalition,
dedicated to maintaining a
dialogue between Jews and
blacks and to seeking out
ways in which the two
minorities can assist each
other.
The seder is a family affair.
There is a charge. For reser-
