JUDEA REVIVED!

THE HOUR 5:30 P. M. (EST) NOVEMBER 29, 1947

EDITOR'S NOTE — Authoritative leaders of Palestinian Jewry have
expressed the opinion that the new Jewish state to be set up in a parti-
tioned Palestine will again assume the Biblical name of JUDEA, which

was the name of the Jewish state after the ten tribes had separated
from it and formed the kingdom of Israel. It will mark the re-establishment
of the JevAsh state after a lapse of 1877 years.

HANUKAH 5708 MIRACLE
—Dream Comes True

BY DR. NOAH E. ARONSTAM

The tale—perhaps it may be old,
Yet thousand„ times it has been told;
Though many yesteryeap have passed
The romance lives, the legends last:
How the Syrian hosts destroyed, reviled,
How one cruse of oil still undefiled
Like sunlight lit the Temple's throne
And eight long days it beamed and shone .
Just as our hopes still bud and beam
Through age-long waiting as a dream;
Like parched earth that cries for dew,
So does our soul—the dream comes true!
We dedicate ourselves once more
To newer tasks that are in store:
The flask of oil is still intact!
Lo, history shall seal the pact.
