For 90 years, the Jewish National Fund has been there to prepare Israel's land for each major wave of aliyah. Now, through the Operation Promised Land campaign, JNF is developing the terrain for housing, recreation, agriculture and industry to meet the needs of the Russian Jewish olim. JNF is blazing new roads in the Galilee and Negev regions to ensure efficient communications links from outlying villages to major population centers, schools and hospitals. Such arteries are necessary for attracting new residents, including Russian immigrants, as well as for increasing the security of frontier areas and developing their economies.
