Amsterdam (JTA) — Neo-
Nazi vandals destroyed
three gravestones at a Jew-
ish cemetery and defaced a
monument to Jewish
deportees in southeastern
Holland over the weekend.
Police are investigating an
unknown group calling itself
the National Socialist
People's Front, which claim-
ed responsibility for the
desecration in an anony-
mous telephone call to a
local newspaper.
The targets were the Jew-
ish cemetery at Beek, near
the Belgian border, where
three gravestones were
demolished and eight daub-
ed with swastikas.
